The people involved

Heather Ault

Heather has designed websites for local organizations in Humboldt County and at Humboldt State University. She's currently an Associate Faculty member at College of the Redwoods. She began working on the Community Currency Project in August of 2003, and has lived in and around Arcata and Eureka for six years.

Yvonne Doble

Yvonne was born here in Humboldt County, briefly experienced Ohio for schooling, and plans on keeping Humboldt as her home. Yvonne has experience in advocacy for youth and prisoners, as well as strong interest in education and healthy community development. Yvonne currently lives and works in Eureka .

Ryan Emenaker

Ryan works with the Placebo and Democracy Unlimited and serves as the Co-Chair for the Arcata Committee on Democracy and Corporations. In his spare time he plays in a hard core band and is finishing his Masters Thesis. (Ryan is currently on leave in Alaska.)

Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap

Kaitlin is Director of Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County (DUHC) and is also active with the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. She also serves on the Humboldt Bay Municiple Water District. She lives and works in Eureka where she has lived the past five years.

Shannon Tracey

Shannon Tracey works for the health and vitality of the Redwood bioregion as
staff for Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County, Outreach Coordinator for
Humboldt Baykeeper, barista at Sacred Grounds Organic Coffee Roasters, and
board member of Humboldt Community Alliance with Family Farmers. She lives in
Arcata and enjoys biking, rowing, and eating green leafy vegetables.
