Strategizing for 2008

We’re excited to announce that the Humboldt Exchange is holding a Strategy Meeting on February 3 to make plans for improving and growing Community Currency in Humboldt County. The Humboldt Exchange hits the five-year mark this summer, and we’re looking forward to another five years of supporting interdependence in our local bioregion.
You’re invited to bring your ideas and help shape the future of the Exchange! Contact us for details on attending the Strategy Meeting – or, as you’re likely picking up this issue up after February 3, contact us to find out the results, and how you can get involved!

Thanks For A Great Crafts Exchange!

Thanks so much to everyone who came to the Holiday Crafts Exchange and Great Cookie Swap! We were delighted by the incredible offering of our local crafters, from soaps to stockings to unique pieces of art. And the cookies were delicious. Thanks to the many volunteers and contributors who made this event a success.

Even though the holidays are over, we’re still flippin’ pancakes on the third Sunday of every month. Join us in February and March:

  • Sunday, February 17, from 10am-noon
  • Sunday, March 16, from 10am-noon, cost is $5 Community Currency (or US).

Open Meetings

Want to learn more about the Humboldt Exchange, about local currencies, or how you can get involved? Come to an Open Meeting – the last Monday night of the month. You’ll meet others interested in promoting a stronger local economy and get the latest update on how we’re growing Community Currency in Humboldt County. We hope that in between the winter storms, you take a look around and appreciate the beauty of our bioregion, and the uniqueness of our community. Please peruse the listings to see what your Humboldt County neighbors have to offer, or what you’ve got to share. Thanks for reading, and happy exchanging...
